This Congress will bring together art education experts, researchers and practitioners from Australia and the South East Asia-Pacific region, including art educators from schools, tertiary institutions, museum and gallery educators, artists, policy makers and students.
Researchers and practitioners in the visual arts and art education are invited to submit abstracts for peer-reviewed papers, presentations and practical workshops within the theme and subthemes of Views, Values and Visions in Art and Art Education.
Applicants are encouraged to think imaginatively about using the gallery spaces for presentations in NGV Australia Federation Square, NGV International and at ACMI. Presenters will also be encouraged to use Cinema 1 and a digital classroom in ACMI, education studios within NGV International and NGV Australia, the Great Hall and the Clemenger Auditorium at NGVI, as well as seminar spaces.

Abstracts submitted for peer review will be refereed by members of editorial board of Australian Art Education, AEA’s A rated journal. Abstracts from any relevant discipline will be considered, provided they make an original academic contribution to the research and practices of art education.
Abstracts must not exceed 300 words (excluding bibliography) and should be submitted under one of the key themes listed above. All abstracts must be in Arial 12 font and double spaced, with the official contact page attached.
Please do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract under different themes. All abstracts will be reviewed and may be moved into a different theme if needed. Once you have submitted you cannot make modifications.
